Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

Saturday October 13, 2001

 Meeting was called to order by Pres. Enyart at 7:45 p.m…..a quorum was present.

Motions to ratify the appointments of Randy Faul as Hare Scramble Chairman and Mark Palmer as MX Chairman were made and unanimously passed.

Enduro Chairman Ryan Crist advised the Committee of his selections for the Enduro Committee:

Sam and Lori Mento ----Scorekeepers

Kip Carroll----Referee

Cliff Evans----A Rep.

Rick Long----B Rep.

Marc DiPippi----C Rep.

Linda Rorrio----Womans Rep.

Terry Enyart-----Senior Rep.

The Committee unanimously approved these selections.

A lengthy discussion regarding our Race insurance and the changes the industry will be making that directly affect FTR was moderated by our Bus. Mgr. Dan George. Dan will advise all sanction holding Clubs of any changes and the manner in which FTR must address them.

A situation regarding the issuance of Sanctions and the ability to perform the necessary functions required for properly conducting FTR races had previously been brought to the Committee for resolution. An evaluation of information presented and a discussion of basic requirements led to a vote by the Committee. The decision was to refund the RCDR application fees for both Hare Scramble and Enduro events. The currently listed dates for RCDR events will not be sanctioned by FTR and will not carry points toward year end.

Electronic scoring was next on the agenda and was reviewed thoroughly with many ideas for streamlining what we do and how we do it. It appears we are on the right track but still need minor modifications to achieve the necessary confidence level to let us begin utilizing this program as our main scoring source.

The Meeting was adjourned at 11:30 p.m.
